Last month, Terri Harris and I broke down The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’s) required off-cycle revalidation of all Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) in an Alert and related blog post. Since our last update, CMS has made several significant changes:

  • The deadline for all SNFs to respond has been extended to May 1, 2025, reflecting industry concerns and pressure on CMS regarding the initial 90-day timeline.
  • CMS has continued to issue updated guidance regarding the process, including the recent addition of a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.

What should you do in light of this new information? First, check out our updated alert here: CMS Extends Deadline for All Skilled Nursing Facilities to Complete Required Off-Cycle Revalidation. Second, continue to check CMS guidance for additional updates. Third, don’t forget to contact Terri HarrisMargaret F.
